Writing in Spanish

Written assignments in SPAN 311 were essential for strengthening my Spanish writing skills. They introduced me to the complexities of responding to short films, poems, and articles by Spanish and Latin American authors, editors, and producers. Applying the written language enhanced my understanding of Spanish communication and  my appreciation of Hispanic culture.

One assignment was writing a formal letter to the President of the United States. This task required me to develop an outline, apply correct grammar, and use formal vocabulary to address complex topics such as industry, economics, and government policy. The process of drafting, revising, and presenting the letter helped me practice clarity, structure, and cultural influence in Spanish writing.
